Carmody Announces Combination with New London Firm Waller Smith & Palmer P.C.

New Haven, CT (September 2, 2025) — Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP is pleased to announce that it is combining with the New London law firm Waller Smith & Palmer P.C. (WSP) effective September 1, 2025.

The firm will continue to operate under the name Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP. The combination will expand Carmody’s Connecticut footprint to include the WSP office location in New London. Combining with WSP brings three partners, two counsel and seven staff to the firm, and increases the total number of lawyers at Carmody to 95 lawyers and 75 staff.

Founded in 1885, WSP has long been dedicated to providing high quality legal services in estate and probate law, municipal law, land use, personal injury and litigation.
